Single Ray of Sunshine

Single Ray of Sunshine

Walking down the street
In a lonely little town
Can't seem to crack a smile
Can only manage a small frown
Only on ray of sunshine
Can slice the darkness in my heart
But that single ray of sun
Also shoots pain into that part
Nothing seems to help
All I feel is pain
Cold and alone
Standing in the rain
My single ray of sunshine
Sees me sad and depressed
Wanders over to inquire
Why his friend looks so messed
No explanation can be spoken
For inside I hold great fear
Of losing the great friendship
With someone i hold dear
My single ray of sunshine
Doesn't realize i like him so
I wish that I could tell him
But for now I can't let him know
